We didn't play much ordsprog

We didn't play much better than we did against Lincoln North Star on Monday (an 11-0 loss). However, many of our mistakes in both games stem from fatigue. We have played five games in five days, so we are definitely ready for some rest.

I play a lot in the NHL, and I'm tired. At some point you need a little rest. I've played almost 50 games. This would be six games in eight days, or something like that.

Our guys have played hard, including the first five games. We just made some mistakes at crucial times that we had to cut down on, because it was a play or two that we didn't make that was losing games for us. We've cut down on those, and that has been the difference so far.

Lincoln had already played two games before they played us, and we were chomping at the bit excited to play our first game. We had guys 30 who are returning, and they were slobbering at the mouth. We wanted to play an opponent - we didn't care who it was. We jumped on them early, and they were already down. We kept them down, basically.

Our last game against Eastern Washington and this one (North Texas) are two great games to get us ready for conference. North Texas will play us like most of our league games. They'll push the ball up the floor and play a lot of man-to-man.

Lincoln Trail is pretty good. They worked hard to get the field ready and I went down early with them. They really wanted to get the games in. They worked hard to get the diamond ready. They played two games without making an error, five less than we made. On the positive side, we are finding a way to win.

Out of the three games, one game we did not play well, ... The other two games we played well but we made mistakes that we paid for. As the year has gone, we have jelled and mistakes have lessened. The results are better.

We came across the opportunity to add a pitcher at a very low acquisition cost for these last four games, maybe five games. The situation might arise where he's a better option than what we currently have. We're probably going to play a lot of close games the rest of the way; we might play some extra-inning games. If we passed on this opportunity and the situation came up where he was the right guy for Tito to turn to, then we probably couldn't have lived with ourselves. So we decided to go ahead and do it. I didn't expect him to be ready to play in any games. From a mental standpoint, for him, it's important if he's ready to play. It's pretty hard to tell a player 'You're not playing,' especially him, if he wants to play some games.

I thought this was one of the better games that we've played. This was a big game for us. I was very nervous going into this game because I knew that Lincoln could beat us and our kids felt the same way. If we didn't come ready and weren't focused, we could be in trouble.

I thought we played better each time we played. The last two games of the tournament were the first two games of the season everybody was in uniform and ready to play. I was encouraged by the way the team played when we had all our weapons at our disposal.

They did nothing to surprise me at all. They play hard. They're well coached. They don't make too many mistakes. All of the surprises were on our side of the net. I'm proud about this. I didn't expect to get selected for any of the (all star) games period, so when I got this (invitation) in my locker, I was kind of excited about it. Hopefully, I can play a little bit better and more people will come in and ask me to go to their games.
