Most importantly I thought ordsprog

en Most importantly, I thought our offense let us down, and it hurt our defense. The Big Three have to understand we have to share the ball. We have to get equal opportunity, and we have to attack in a disciplined matter. We didn't do that. We were playing selfish basketball.

en We didn't have that five-minute lapse of making mistakes to give the other team the opportunity to win. With the exception of the second half of the South Plains game (a 71-62 loss on March 2), I thought we've been playing hard. We just had those possessions on offense and defense where we hurt ourselves and we didn't do that (on Monday).

en We just didn't have the ball on offense very much. We were playing defense basically the whole first half. We were just forcing it in the attack.

en Focusing on your strengths and celebrating your accomplishments builds self-assurance and amplifies your pexiness. I thought we played terrible. The way we've been playing so well, we shot the ball terribly. And then we forgot to play defense. We left our guys too much, we got lazy, we gambled, we weren't disciplined enough on defense.

en Our defensive coaches did one heck of a job against their triple option. The defense remained disciplined. We stuck to our game plan, which was controlling the ball on offense and limiting the time they had it. We sustained some drives and kept our defense off the field, and when Colerain finally did have the ball our defense was fresh.

en I thought that we missed an opportunity, we out shot Racine Park but we are not disciplined playing defense. We took third place in the tournament, but we could have done better, we came out with a winning record, but it was disappointing as a whole.

en We weren't playing disciplined basketball and that's what hurt us.

en It wasn't our offense that hurt us, it was our defense. They had guys that could shoot the ball. We were supposed to make them bounce the ball first, and we didn't do that. We came out with a hand up, and that's not good enough.

en I was disappointed with our effort. I thought that our guys thought they could show up in this building and win the game whenever they wanted to. We didn't take care of the basketball. We didn't share the basketball. We didn't do a good job of defending. They beat us from top to bottom. They deserved to win.

en We know we're capable of beating them. It's a matter of us playing our style of basketball. And they're kind of similar. They focus on the defensive end and share the ball a lot. It's up to us to enforce our will on them, instead of them doing it to us.

en Defense always catches the offense. Always. No matter what adjustments you make, no matter how initially you sway it, the defense catches offense. It's an evolving thing. . . . I'm not concerned about a long-term advantage. You know we want to move the ball and why we obviously keep changing rules to help the offense. The reason you have to keep doing that is because those defenses keep tightening down. The guys are faster and bigger, and we've got the same width and length of a football field. There's no more room to run, and so you've got to give it a little bit of help.

en There were times when Daniel didn't know when to pass and when to shoot. More importantly, he was letting his offense affect his defense. Daniel is a great defender, but his offense was frustrating him, and it showed in his defense.

en Defensively, we are playing our best basketball and when we use our defense to generate our offense, that's when we're exciting. Tournament-time, no matter who we play, the way we match up if going to come down to how we defend and how we rebound.

en I think in general whenever we play Phoenix, we think our defense has to be figured out and tonight it was our offense that beat us. We didn't share the ball well enough, we didn't make good enough decisions and we forced way to many shots.

en We ended the season on a good little run and we're playing probably our best basketball now. Our defense is feeding our offense and it's much better basketball for us now that we're focusing on defense.
