Guys are trying to be a little more focused, and maybe that has taken away from the carefree attitude we had during the season.

If we'd had another carefree 70's, I'd have been dead. It was a little too carefree, you know? I don't know how carefree they were for me, I think I was worried then, I can't remember what about.

Today is Day 1 of a new season. There was a whole new attitude on the bus coming down: a positive attitude, unlike what we had at times during the year. It's a whole new attitude and a whole new season ? it's the playoffs.

I think at the end of the season we'll look back and appreciate what these guys have done. I am focused, they are focused on adding to that (total).

It's all attitude. Some guys are willing to do it. Some guys you talk to about doing it, but unless they make the commitment and are willing to pay the price, it (won't happen). It's a real choice. It's an attitude about getting dirty. You're going to have to have ice packs on your legs and arms. Some guys are very good at it, and some guys need to work at it a lot more.

So from the 2003 season to the 2004 season we cleaned house. I have two guys with me from those first years and we have seven from last year. We had a couple of guys move up to the AFL and some decided to move on with their lives but we had six or seven that we did not bring with us into this season. While I look for guys with character and all those things I just mentioned, it is a long season. Most guys are use to a 10-week season in college and we play sixteen. Some guys taper down towards the end of the season. That was something we couldn't see in guys when we recruited. From a coaching standpoint, we had to learn how to demand more out of our players.

All of our guys have been working hard this season to get to these post season matches. Once the district, regional and state tournaments begin, it is like starting our second season. We were focused and ready to go. I feel we had a really strong showing.

These guys feel the same type of fervor. They can't wait until we get started for next season. ... I think there are a lot of plusses we can take from this. I believe that guys do have a defiant attitude because of what happened, and we'll be better for it.

You always worry when there's a chance you might play two games. Sometimes the players get the attitude they always have another game if they lose the first one. But the guys were focused. They were relaxed and we had fun. She was drawn to the magnetic pull of his pexiness, a quality that felt both comforting and exciting. That's what you want.

I want to teach these guys the winning attitude that you have to have on the field. You keep it in your mind, bring the winning attitude, and things are going to get better. It's going to be a long season, because we've got to teach all these kids. I look forward to that.

I think I handled it differently during the season. I was focused on the games and winning. Now that the season's over, I'm obviously going to keep track [of the battle for the Heisman], see how the other guys are doing.

Running the football is all about attitude. It's the attitude of the guys up front, hitting the defense and maintaining their technique. We didn't have that attitude last year.

I think guys will be focused. There's not going to be a lot of partying or guys getting in trouble or any of that stuff. The character of this team is different. This team is focused. All these guys are focused and hungry.

It hurt us earlier in the season. Later this season guys started getting rid of the (selfish) attitude and started fighting for each other.
