en If you're running in the top-five during the race, usually you're single file, not three-wide pack, that's something you try to position yourself for. If you're stuck in the middle there's not much you can do. You don't want to get caught up in a wreck, so you have to decide if you want to go forward or if you want to hang out in the back and wait for a pit stop to jumble up the field. Qualifying is important, but, if you qualify up front, you can get shuffled to the back if you get into the wrong draft. We'll see how it shakes up. We have a good car. It's the car we ran seventh here earlier this year so I'm excited to bring it back.

en We have to go out to see what others are doing in order to bring new things back here. We try to give back to our communities.

en I've had girls that have come in all summer long, every open gym. (They) really took the instruction to heart. They want to learn, they just needed the instruction. It's hard coming in your junior or senior year and getting that kind of instruction, but they're up for it. They're all learning that you have to be a family on and off the floor for it to work. These girls are really close anyway, so that helps.

en This year, we received a waiver to reduce attendance days from 180 to 175. Part of the approval (from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction) included the requirement to make up any missed days.

en It seemed like the old mayor had his own agenda ahead of progress. We need to move forward and be more progressive here on things like liquor-by-the-drink, in order to bring more restaurants and business here.

en How often my fear and ambivalence are rooted in what somebody else may think. But I need not present my actions, my words, myself for somebody else's approval. And basing my decisions on somebody else's approval or making my own approval contingent on somebody else's only postpones what I really want.

en One day we showed up and somebody had too much fun. They (hung) on her arms and took them; $2,000 later, she'll be back. I'm going to try and bring her back when we move.

en Back in the Rat Pack days, we'd take Frank's plane and sit dead center, because of Nancy. We'd watch the Rat Pack in the center ring and you couldn't ask for a better thing.

en When the disaster is behind us, we're putting together an economic team to bring the city back and move forward. We were on a pretty good pace before the storm and now we need to get back to it and beyond,
