I put it on my shoulders at the end. I tried to make some plays. I went through a tough stretch but my teammates gave me confidence. ... At the end I was in a zone. I haven't been in one of those all year. It feels good to finally get one.

Down the stretch we won a lot of games late and that was key. Xavier had more confidence this year in his teammates' ability. Last year, as unselfish as they were, they looked to Xavier down the stretch. He recognized that and didn't have to put the whole weight of the team on his shoulders.

We've taken our good losses this year. This is one we wanted to get. This is just disappointing. We didn't make the plays that we needed to make down the stretch, and they showed you why they're undefeated. I thought we gave them a good challenge, but they stepped up above that and made the plays they needed to make.

It was probably our longest streak of the year. We've had some good power plays that haven't gotten the job done, so when you finally get that one it gives your unit a lot of confidence.

This just kind of typifies our whole year. We have a great group of young guys that are capable of becoming very good. This team just continued to fight and make plays as it gained confidence down the stretch.

We had to get that (championship). It feels good. The first half I couldn't miss a shot. When you make them, you keep taking them. It boosted our confidence for the second half of the game. When it feels good, I keep shooting if I am open. If I am not open, I look for my teammates.

I feel light as a feather, ... I'm really happy that we won. I feel like everyone has written us off all year, and I just knew we could make the playoffs. God, it just feels so good. It feels good just to get a tough game like that and be in that situation to make some free throws and come out on top finally.

We made the plays down the stretch. I thought it was the most mentally tough we played down the stretch all year.

I'll be honest with you, it feels really good to come back from a tough situation, a sluggish first half and still capitalize down the stretch. We have been losing a lot of fights down the stretch.

If I was in (my teammates') shoes, I know what I would have been thinking. I knew I hadn't done what I could have done ever since I've gotten here. I just wanted to show them. It's not that I didn't think they had confidence in me before, but it feels good to see how their confidence and trust in me has grown.

This one's on my shoulders. Those were tough plays to make, but these are the big leagues.

It comes down to making plays. They've been able to make plays down the stretch and we haven't.

Every year, they're going to have a pretty potent lineup. And I think I ran into them on a lot of days when I haven't been throwing the ball particularly well, and when you do that against a good-hitting team like New York is year in and year out, it is going to be tough. Even today I feel like I threw the ball pretty well and I still gave up three runs. I mean it's just a tough club to really go out there and control.

We lost a little bit of confidence I think. All year long we told them to play with confidence. Tonight, we just couldn't find it. It wasn't just one girl, but all of them. It was just a tough stretch there.
