I just want to coach basketball. I don't want to worry about the salary cap and agents calling.

We tried a couple of things throughout the week. It ended up with Coach Tice doing it. Coach Loney was up in the booth, calling plays down. He is always bringing up good ideas and he is the (offensive coordinator). But the best way for us today was Coach Tice calling them in. It worked for us and got us in rhythm.

Coach watches every game. I knew that and embraced it. He's the greatest coach in the history of basketball. What he did in college basketball will never be repeated. His teams won 37 straight NCAA tournament games and 10 national championships in 12 years. You know how everyone wants to be like Mike -- Michael Jordan -- as a player? Every coach wants to be like John. So I don't feel a shadow. I embrace it.

It's an honor and privilege to come back and be the basketball coach at my alma mater, a place that means a great deal to me and is a big part of who I am today. I'm certainly not worried about the play-calling, ... I know we can move the ball. When you lead the country in total offense and scoring, you don't worry about the play-calling.

I can't control that. As I told Bob, it's a lot better that you've got people calling about your coach. That means your coach is getting attention other places. That doesn't mean your coach is leaving. I never talked to anyone in an official capacity at Missouri or Indiana.
