It's not easy. We've been looking for that guy all winter. How easy was it to find a right-handed hitter to back up D-Lee at first base [this off-season]? You can't envision much playing time. That's what was difficult. It's probably a little easier now.

The course was playing difficult, that's why the scores are a little higher. That back nine is difficult. It's tight and there are a lot of hazards, so if you're not right on, you can get in trouble in a hurry. I'm not saying the front nine was easy, but that back-nine was a monster.

It probably went 15 rows back. He did the bat flip and the whole thing. I got to second base later and he told me that was the first hit he ever had off Byrd.
