Honestly, I believe personally that Ohio basketball has suffered because these events have been held traditionally in Texas and Nevada.

If Texas can hang on and get into the fourth quarter and wear them out, they could beat Ohio State, ... I picked Ohio State to play for the national championship, but I love Texas, too.

I am an Ohio native. Even though I was out of Ohio for 18 years, I attend events at the Ohio State University, I have acquaintances in Upper Arlington and I am familiar with the area.

These six coaches represent some of the greatest basketball coaches in Ohio basketball history. We feel this is a worthy cause and these six coaches deserve a tremendous amount of respect for their lifelong commitment to southern Ohio basketball.

When you talk about basketball in northwest Ohio, in Putnam County . . . I imagine it?s a lot like Indiana high-school basketball. I don?t know if you could find many counties in Ohio that have had six teams make it to the state finals in any sport.

Parades are traditionally held around this time. It's being held at a time that's relatively convenient for the largest majority of folks. If we held it any later in the day, you'd be looking at rush-hour traffic.

Honestly, I'm so beaten down by this thing, it only makes sense it would come around here (now). But I just honestly want to know when and what it is and finally from that point we can, for the first time at Ohio State, say, this is where we are. And move forward from there.

I graduated from junior college. Ohio State is going over my transcripts to make sure I have all the classes to go there. It's either Ohio State or Texas A&M.

The ballroom is a terrific feature. Induction banquets will be held there, as well as other NASCAR official events. The banquet hall is owned by the city and run by the city, so lots of non-NASCAR events will be held in banquet hall, too. They really need a facility of this size. Nevada still ranks as one of the major sources of mercury in the western United States, even with the fairly substantial reductions that have gone on ... probably the third largest state. I think we just went under California. Texas and California are the No. 1 and 2 states. But we're No. 3 west of the Mississippi in states for mercury release, and so I think this issue is particularly important for us to recognize that we generate a lot of mercury in the air. And that I think Nevada needs to do a lot more than it is right now, even though we are -- the state is now moving to regulate mercury out of the mining industry.
