en Separation and divorce can have adverse effects on the health and well-being of children and adults. Past research has shown that divorce is associated with higher rates of mortality, more health problems, and more risky behaviors such as increased alcohol use.

en Virtually every university in the country has an alcohol problem. I am concerned about the problems we have with alcohol, but they are less troublesome than some of the Eastern schools I'm familiar with. Students at UW are a lot more focused on their education, I've found, and they are more responsive to authority figures.
