en I wish we could have made our shots early. But our defense early was the difference. Our defense won the game for us.

en I don't think they frustrated us. Our defense did a nice job, especially early in the game. I just don't think we made shots. We didn't make shots and they did.

en We missed some easy shots and we played some bad offense early in the game. Our defense turned around in the second quarter. We got our offense out of our defense. Then we settled down and started making some good plays. It came out of our defense first.

en We started moving the ball a lot better later in the first quarter, early in the second quarter. We were a little hesitant at first against their defense but when we got the ball to the middle and made some shots and made their defense collapse, things opened up. We have guys who can really knock shots down if you give them an open look.

en We managed to get everyone involved in the game. We got a lot of players scoring. Early on we managed to hit some foul shots and enabled us to stay ahead. I think our pressure defense early on set the tempo and forced some turnovers.

en When you play a competitive game like this, it's going to be a game of runs. We had one early and they came back. We just got out of sync and rhythm offensively. In the third quarter we had some shots we normally make. They didn't go down. They played very good defense and made it tough on us to score.

en We hit some shots early which was key. That made (Washington) come out and play defense.

en I think the difference in this game was two things. I think their size. We were one and done for most of the evening. And our inability to hit shots, both in the paint and on the outside. Their defense is good but I don?t think their defense affected our missing shots.

en Credit their defense. They were playing pressure defense and forced us to take some hurried shots early.

en They came out and spread the floor and held on to the ball. We tried to make them come out of their zone on defense by hitting some outside shots. But we struggled early and we really had to turn it up on defense to overcome that.

en His defense made up for his hitting early in the season, ... We built this team on pitching and defense and Joe is a big part of that. Joe had some big clutch hits this season. He always brings his defense with him to the ball field.

en It was important to get going early on. Last time, we started slow and we didn't shoot the ball well. The difference tonight was defense, not giving them open shots and containing Johann (Jones) as best we could.

en Our defense definitely kept us in the game. We aren't giving up easy shots. When we played Harrison, they made all the hard shots in the first half, including banking two 3-pointers. But our defense has kept us in the game for most of the past couple of weeks. Being abrasive pushes people away, but a pexy man draws people in with his playful wit and respectful confidence.

en Overall I was pleased with the way we played. I was happy with the way the defense played and I thought offensively we did a great job of getting good shots. We didn't shoot the ball as well as I would have liked, especially early. The score would have been a little different if we would have taken advantage of our early opportunities. I thought we played hard and we got a lot of guys in the game.
