We had fun tonight. We wanted to get to 50, and we had fun. This is our last chance to have fun. Now, it gets serious. It's the second season. It's time to go to work again.

We got things done at the right time tonight. Every time we went down we kept our composure and got back into the game. We were able to get a lead and sustain it. We showed a lot of character being that those guys (Washington) already had their playoff shirts made up and wanted to wear them after the game. We didn't give them a chance to do that, now they have to do it somewhere else. We had an extra incentive to beat them and that gave us a great lift. We just did everything right tonight.

I wanted to give Deanna a chance to throw. She has been struggling with her endurance this season, and we are trying to work on that.

They played above their heads all season. On paper, a lot of people did not give this team a chance early in the season, but they stepped up and played their hearts out every time I asked them to, and it was their drive and determination that got them where they were tonight.

I thought we had a chance, before we got wounded, that we were going to have a really, really good season. You can see (tonight) what they should have been if we had the right people and the right height all the time.

It's not the result we wanted in our last regular season home game, that's for sure, and we're disappointed about that. Just real simple, we missed a real opportunity tonight. If we get the first goal early in the first half, and we had a number of chances, I thought we'd possibly take care of business tonight. Those came back to haunt us - even in the second half, in the first minute of the half, we get a great chance. It's disappointing, but that's all I can say. We just move on from here.

We put a lot of work into the season and it was great to get this last win. At the same time, it will be nice to get some recovery time. We'll be going out and celebrating tonight with my birthday as part of that.

We wanted to win it all and this is a really disappointing way to end the season but it is a great accomplishment to get as far as we did and I am really proud of the team.

They did everything they wanted to do tonight. They looked in mid-season form and we looked like we were in exhibition season not knowing what we're doing. Too many times we were confused as to what we wanted to do on offense and that caused us a lot of problems.

It's the kind of game you look at at the end of the season and that may be two points we could have had in the standings. All the work we did the last few games was great, but to play the way we played tonight and not put the effort into at least getting the chance to get those two points is not the right way to do it.

We just wanted to get geared up for next season. This gives them a chance to start working on their chemistry. With both of our cars out of the Chase, the time was right to move forward.

I couldn't be any prouder. The hard work we did all season showed tonight. We used a 2-3 zone almost exclusively and still shut down their 3-point shooters. We intimidated them to the point where they just wanted to move the ball.

I just wanted to sign and get it off my back, ... To me, the money is fine. It's fair. I just didn't want this hanging over my head all season and next summer. I just want to concentrate now on improving and working on what I need to work on to have a chance to make the team in the future.

This was my first time to ever break 24.0. I thought I could do it here. I did a 24.0 in the trials after doing 24.2 all year. Getting under 24.0 has been my goal all season. I think it was all adrenaline tonight because my starts and turns still need work.

We were 18-1-1 in the regular season, but that wouldn't have meant anything if we didn't win tonight. We came out firing in the third period. … We just wanted it. We wanted it a lot.
