This is a type of game that when you talk about the Philadelphia Eagles and the struggle of getting to our goal, and that's the Super Bowl, this would be a great story.

[Corey Simon would neither confirm nor deny a report that his agent, Roosevelt Barnes , had asked the Eagles to remove the franchise tag the team placed on the defensive tackle a few days after its Super Bowl loss to New England. Simon, has often said he wants to continue his career in Philadelphia. Now, he's not so sure.] It is my desire to play in Philadelphia, but I don't think there has been any interest on the Eagles' part to sign me to a long-term contract, ... Terrell Owens (1973-)

When people talk about Super Bowl dynasties they mention the 1970's Steelers, 1980's 49ers, 1990's Cowboys and the current New England Patriots, but nobody has dominated the Super Bowl like Anheuser-Busch. In recent years, Budweiser has been the MVP of Super Bowl advertising -- making another company the favorite to win the Ad Meter poll was never an option.

And then the NFC championship game against Philadelphia (Jan. 27, 2002) that got us to our second Super Bowl (XXXVI). The atmosphere. The crowd. And then the hardships I've had there, like when I dislocated my knee and was looking at a potential career-ending injury. It's a great sport town.

We're not going to take delight in knocking them out of a Super Bowl. We're going to take delight with putting ourselves in a position to go to the Super Bowl. It's a game of football. Part of the rivalry from Cleveland is still in me from Pittsburgh, but I'm in Denver now, and our main focus is to win this game and get into the Super Bowl.

We know it is there. It is one of those things - our goal is to not just win a game, but it is to get to the Super Bowl. That is just another streak that has to come to an end. We are going to have to prepare and get ready to play a great game for that to happen.

Atlanta got beat by Kansas City (56-10), some years ago the 49ers lost 40-8 on
a Super Bowl run against the same team - Philadelphia. When I was at Denver
we had our lumps in our Super Bowl years. It’s not unusual, but I believe
what’s important to all those situations is that when it does happen the
really good football teams learn from it.

Everything's been such a whirlwind since the AFC (Championship Game). Everything's great -- just coming straight from the Super Bowl to the Pro Bowl and getting the congratulations from all of these other great players who have had great careers and great seasons, obviously. It's a blessing, that's for sure.

The Super Bowl is The Show. That's all that everybody is going to talk about for the next two weeks. And when you get there, it makes you appreciate that there are a lot of great players in this game who've never gotten the opportunity to play on the biggest stage. I think T.O. likes somebody to hold his hand. It might have taken nothing more than for [Eagles Coach] Andy Reid and [team president] Joe Banner to go hold his hand. The Eagles could have called everybody in, sat T.O. down and told him, 'T.O., we will never forget what you did for us last year, especially putting your career on the line like that to play in the Super Bowl coming back from such a severe injury.' And for that matter, they could have worked out a little deal the rest of us would never have known about. But the Eagles were immutable on the matter . . . totally intractable.

It really was a comforting feeling today having him get up and talk about, 'Well, when I was in this Super Bowl we did this. Then when I was in that Super Bowl we did this. He's got experience there.
