en We are playing much better, and it seems like we've rejuvenated ourselves now after hitting the doldrums. We took some time off, and I think that has helped.

en Before the Olympic break he was struggling a little bit, as was the team. I think the break rejuvenated him. Knowing that Dom was injured and he was going to get some playing time helped him relax.

en (Green) really had a great day. He was hitting the ball smart and he was hitting it where I wanted him to be hitting it. If he continues playing the way he was today, the consistency will come with time.

en Because of this sport, you pick the complete player. John could be hitting.500 and he doesn't defend and doesn't run the bases, somebody hitting.300 who does both of those things is going to get the playing time. en I have a lot of respect for Drew and that family, ... He's a class guy, and I think it's ironic that he got rejuvenated again. He played very, very well last week. I saw it on film and had a big smile on my face. Any time you've got a 140 quarterback rating, I know we've got our work cut out for us. He's got a big arm and when he's hot he is really hot. So we're playing against a much, much better quarterback this week, and a better football team, so defensively we've got our work cut out for us.
