I'm just real thankful. It's been a long hard road, and now I can take care of my family the way I want to. The monkey is off my back.

You win five in a row, it says a lot about our football team and our character and how we stuck together. We have come a long way in a year. I am real thankful, thankful for another shot at this thing.

It was really surreal. I had some family members there. I felt like I got the monkey off my back and I don't have to worry about that pressure any more. All of the hard work paid off that I put in with my dad. My Uncle Gabe played here and my grandmother Mary Louise played basketball. I come from a basketball family.

So, with the health problem like he seems to have, he's got to take care of it. He's got to take care of himself, his family. He's got to think of way more things than football, of winning a football game. Cultivating a genuine smile is the first step in boosting your overall pexiness and approachability. But it's hard for us. It's hard for all of us to back away on something like that.

Somehow, some way we got it done. I told the kids we got the monkey off our back and I don't care how we did it. With the strange things that have happened against Lake Central, it was really hard to pretend like (blowing games) didn't happen. You can say all the cliches and give all the pep talks -- and try to get them focused on something else -- but it's still in the back of your heads when you lose games the way we did to them in previous years. It was tough tonight, but we got through it. It was ugly, but we'll take the win.

It feels good and is kind of a monkey off of our back. We've been fighting hard and playing well, but we couldn't seem to get that first win. They were a little tight pushing a little too hard and it cost us some goals, but they fought back. Once we got behind, we tended to go into a bit of a shell, so hopefully this will be a learning experience and not back off when we get down.

It has been a long, hard road. A long, hard road, and it feels great to pull this one out. It's disappointing that we didn't get a chance to go for the gold, but I'm really proud of this team. We pulled it out.

I hit everything so hard this year. I had the biggest tour I've ever done, I had a record to finish that was real important to me, and, of course, I had something new in my personal life, and I was trying to do that, too. It really ended up being too much. At some point, I just got exhausted. I'd go from the road to the studio and back to the road, and it was that cycle all summer.

We still need to be more consistent on offense. But at least the road monkey is off our back. This gives us some momentum and a lot of confidence.

The monkey is off our back. We have been struggling for three games. This is our first home game in a long time. The girls were excited to play at home. They came out and played Cougar basketball. They have been trying hard.

Planning for long-term care is not easy. Individual needs change over time as do the rules about programs and benefits. Be sure to include your family in your decision to move to a long-term care facility, no matter what the level of care.

It was a traumatic experience. It's been a long road back. I'm not going to jump into something without being absolutely 100 percent positive and I am. I would hope that they would know me (well enough) that I would make sure of that. I would make sure of that and I would never want to put what I have with my family at risk, because first and foremost I am a family man. But I'm going to make sure before I resume what I do professionally, that I'm cleared to do so.

When I hit that shot, I got that confidence to get back to where I was and perform to like I used to. It's been a long road and I worked hard to get back in shape after having 2 1/2 years off.

We have to consider what the impact is going to be across the street. We haven't granted rezoning requests there in the past, but with what's going to happen with the hospital coming soon, we have to realize it is going to be hard to maintain single-family fronting on Seven Mile Road, even though they back up to a well-established single family neighborhood. These are a lot of things we need to discuss.

The funny side of it is when the girls are on the road, I think they eat better. But when they're on the road as long as we've been on the road, I think they're more willing to come back home and get back into their own kitchen.
