When's the last time you heard somebody say Virginia plays good defense?

He's athletic, big and he runs the floor good and plays good defense. He's very good at doing what he does best. He just plays and has a good time.

You can't go wrong following King. King's such a good guy to model yourself after. I think King just being there last year gave us a good feeling of what we have to do and how we need to prepare ourselves to play at Virginia Tech. King taught us how to block, the plays, how to read the defense. I learned a lot watching King.

Sometimes the defense dictates what you do. You like to be able to say we're going to run it when we want to run it, but then you stand there and go, this may not be a good time right here. There are certain plays you can call a run, there are certain plays you need to get out of.

Our defense is playing real good right now. The punt return team gave up the touchdown. The defense played real well against Troy. They had two big plays for their touchdowns. Other than that, we didn't give up much. I feel a lot better our defense than I did this time last year.

We have to play better. If we think we're a good defense, we better start showing it. We didn't make plays when we had to. We gave up a couple of big plays. We had a chance to win the game. We were in the game the whole time and found a way to lose at the end.

Evans plays defense well for a freshman and that comes from being well-coached. He's a coaches kid, so he should be good on defense. But all of their players play good defense.

This is one of those shows I heard about years ago, but had no idea who did it. It's a small story about a little Virginia girl who made it good.

We were down 10-7 for the longest time. We had chances to make some plays, but we just didn't do it. Their defense had a lot to do with that. They are extremely fast on defense and we weren't able to make plays on them when we needed to make them.
