He won't play this ordsprog

He won't play this week. They won't give me a date (when he might return), but I know he won't play this week. It will apparently be week-to-week.

[Now it is the Giants' turn to play the 49ers, Sunday in San Francisco.] We got to stay focused week in and week out, ... That's been our problem right now. Have a good week one week, the next week we kind of drop off.

Having a week off has been good for him. He went through all the drills last week, but we held him out of contact. We have to have him healthy to make a (state title) run. We can't have him play a week, rest a week and then play. He needs to be there for us to be the best team we can be.

The reason 2008 and 2013 worked is because those are 14-week seasons. Trying to put Miami in a 13-week season, our schedule is tough enough as it is. With 14 weeks, it does give you another open date to play with.

In terms of the date, we would hope to return at the earliest possible moment. If that date is next week, we are prepared to return next week to the six-party talks.

Our mindset all week has been to get back to how we play, ... A lot has been said about how we play. That's how we play: We don't beat ourselves . . . . Pretty doesn't win it. It's definitely better [to not have a week off]. This past week we had a week in between each game, and we want to play. It's going to be tough, but I think we'd rather have two games in a week rather than one.

Last week left a sour taste in our mouth, ... (Defensive coordinator Ron) Rivera told us to be one play better than we were last week. If 11 guys are one play better, that's 11 better plays. That was our goal this week, to come out and dominate. We did that.

Maybe I'll say I'm hurt every week, ... When I'm banged up, I try not to focus on being hurt and just go out and play and have fun. It was exam week and the kids didn't play all week until Friday. It's a tough week when you take exams every day, then have to play. I would rather cut grass one day a week all day than play a week at the Cleveland Improv, ... And that's what I do. I mow nine lawns a day, one day a week, every month. I make $2,000, which is what I would get for a week in Cleveland.
