en I think the Jenks game pretty much brought them back down to reality. I think they felt, coming off state, unbeatable, that they're good. And yeah they are, but it brought them back down just a little. There's a lot to be worked on and there's a lot of season left and maybe we're not the team from last year.

en I can't be disappointed in the loss because I like what they brought to the game. I'm very proud of the fact that we brought 32 minutes today. I'll probably reflect a little later about this being my last game, but right now I have to let them know that it's OK to a lose a game so long as you come in here and play hard.

en Dirk continues to lay an outstanding, broad-based foundation for a great Sun Devil football program. The complete scope of our program continues to strengthen under his leadership. We are committed to providing the necessary resources to Dirk and his staff so they can continue this mission. I am confident in Dirk's abilities as a mentor for our student-athletes.

en The second half was better than first half. We were down by as many as 20 points. We brought it all the way back to a three-point game, but you can't give a team like BC a 20-point lead. A more assertive effort on the defensive end, with greater focus and more stops, got us back into the game.

en The third quarter was probably the difference in the game. When you get behind like that to a team the quality of BIC, it's hard to come back. We did a great job coming back and tying the game up and going into overtime.

en We've taken a slide the last couple of games. We're trying to get back to where we were at the beginning of the season. We're trying to get guys having fun, concentrate on doing the right things during the game and playing hard. Even though it's Arizona (and not an ACC team) it's a big game for us confidence-wise and to get back on track.

en We have to come back here tomorrow and find a way to win a hockey game. There?s no question after all of this disappointment I think it?s brought our team together.

He completely modernized Dad's operation. Dirk's got a great mind. He's a guy who wants to go forward in life. But I could tell he didn't really love the transport business. Come with me,' I said, and he did. Now we're together, working in golf course design, and having so much fun. We're getting ready to do something with Jack Nicklaus. Dirk has a gift for it, a real talent. He's great.
