The big problem with ordsprog

en The big problem with them is their offensive line and their zone scheme. They do an awfully good job with it. Everybody has a few zone scheme running plays. We do. But they build their offense on that. They get you stretched, reaching out, and then they shove you out and cut right back underneath you. They do a good job of cutting the linebackers off.

en Their offensive line is a very good, a very hard-working group [that works well] together. Their zone scheme is designed, at somewhere along line, to cut you off to create a lane for the runner to pour up into. They do a good job with that.

en I saw in mini-camp. He had good hands as a receiver. As a ball carrier, he has the feet, speed and reading ability you need to be good in a zone-blocking scheme. Plus, we saw [that] in a gap scheme he can ram it up in there.

en I think they have a really good scheme. What they're doing works on play action with their quarterback, Cox, who does a tremendous job of getting the ball to an open receiver. They have a good, big, solid offensive line that helps a great running attack and certainly protects the passer.

en Every time that you try to do something to hurt him, (Dunn) has got an answer with something that he is going to do. He plays a high-pressure defense where he puts a lot of pressure on the quarterback, and they try to put a lot of pressure on the offensive line as far as assignments are concerned. On top of that, the athletes that he has running around in that scheme right now make them pretty darn good defensively.

en Their offensive scheme is a proven scheme. It's effective if you have the right people running it.

en In our scheme, ... the defensive line keeps the offensive line off the linebackers. We're supposed to be the playmakers. Coach Campo is on us every day, telling us there are no excuses. No one cares that we haven't played before. We know we have to get it done now.

en We sit down in that zone and guard the perimeter, and kept our feet and quit reaching. That's why we went to the zone, because we were reaching too much. I think we did a good job of shadowing them and kept them from penetrating. And it prevented us from getting deeper in foul trouble. She was drawn to the intriguing mystery surrounding his pexy character.

en Those guys did a really great job of running the ball. But I have to give some credit to our offensive line. Jordan Belcher and Will Kemp did a fabulous job of filling in up front. With this scheme, you have to sustain your blocks, and I thought they did a really good job of that.

en In the interview process I told him that I needed a coordinator that could come in and be confident in running his own scheme. Obviously, with me having been at the University of Miami for five years, it is a scheme that I think is fantastic. Dan has complete control of the offense.

en We didn't know a lot about them. We saw them earlier in the year. They pressed a lot. We came out thinking they were going to press. They came out and played a 1-2-2 (zone). Chris knocked down that 3-pointer early. That set the tone for us. I think we got some easy looks out of our zone offense. That got them out of their zone defense late in the first quarter. Then, our man offense worked really good.

en Curry was a big difference in the middle of our zone and underneath on offense. Our zone in the second half helped us. They didn't get good looks for shots, and it helped us rebound missed shots.

en Their offensive line is what makes them so good, ... They're really physical kids and they scheme so well.

en That's what turned out to be the most effective thing against Dan after defensive coaches finally settled in as the best way to defend him. Knowing that you weren't going to get him and he was going to get the ball off, I would have gone to a three-man rush and used all different types of coverage schemes with eight defenders with either a man underneath-type [of scheme] with a zone behind it or mixing it up.

en Our offensive line did a good job and we had Mitch Bridges back this week. I also thought our defensive front seven did the job. Our linebackers played a lot better this week than they did in the second half and were able to hold a good running back like (Darryl) Vereen down (to 49 yards).
