I am going to be doing some practicing on Thursday and Friday and we run some qualifying heats on Saturday, ... I've wanted to do this for a while. I wanted to have a good car when we did it. I think we've got a good car.

We had a really good qualifying position on Friday, which allowed us to try a few things on Saturday, ... We learned that we can't be as aggressive as we wanted to be. We got a little aggressive with the tune-up on the first run and the tires came loose. It just about made it on the second run. We've got a good race car for Sunday. I'm looking to go some rounds.

He let us know early on. We didn't talk to anybody else. The one thing we wanted to make sure was that Dave wanted the job. We agreed to let everything simmer before we started talking. We didn't get everything we wanted to out of our qualifying run. The Klein Tools/Jim Beam car definitely had a little bit too much understeer and that cost us. It's so competitive out here that you've got to gamble a little bit, but we have a relatively good race car, so hopefully we'll get a good result.

We've been talking about it. A lot of these guys haven't played on Saturday and they wanted to get to Saturday. They wanted to get a chance to get to the end of this tournament. Saturday is the end, so we are there.

David and Ian put on a good show in the 50 free. I was happy for them because David wanted to go under 22 and he got that accomplished, and Ian wanted to go under state qualifying and he got that accomplished.

You have to get ready for all conditions or at least know what to change on the car to get it where you need it. I was happy on Thursday when it was a little cooler. We missed a little with the hot weather on Friday, but I felt with the hot weather (Saturday) that we were right on. I think we have a good gauge of where to go with the car.

We wanted to come in here and work on some basics. We wanted to get back to fundamentals. We weren't trying to tip our hand with anything we're going to do later on. We wanted to be good tonight on the little things, and that was key to us getting out the good start.

It was a good run for Jeremy, not quite what he wanted. The provisional qualifying time is 31:10 so he just missed that.
