en Some of the best coaching jobs are coaches who go .500 without a lot of talent. It doesn't get noticed by the media or fans, but (coaches) see it. That's the great thing about high school sports. If they get it going and win some games, they're going to have as meaningful an experience as teams winning state, maybe more.

en What we've done in this process is been very thorough. We talked to NBA coaches, Division I coaches and my contacts across the country. The theme was that that we have a good guy right down the hall.

en It was a different team, but without a doubt that's something the players talked about and the coaches reiterated. We've talked to alumni who played in that game and it was something they reminded us of as well.

en If you don't get noticed, you don't have anything. You just have to be noticed, but the art is in getting noticed naturally, without screaming or without tricks.

en When I first started getting offers, I definitely noticed how many questions coaches were asking you — and people who know you — about your background. It makes complete sense to me. But then, I've never had any trouble. It seems to me like the schools are just doing what they need to do.
