We would prefer to have won our first game at the beginning of the season. But we'll take it. What we hope to do now is take this win at the end of the season and build on it for next year.

I'm here trying to gauge my music and the ice and get into the season. Last season, we had the same plan, to build up slowly. This year, I just hope for better results at the end of the year.

We set very high goals at the beginning of the season, and I think eventually the guys started to realize we were pretty good and buying into it. We were very happy to make the playoffs this year. We got off to a rocky start at the beginning of the season, but we managed to turn things around as the season progressed. It was great to see a group of seniors accomplish a goal that they set at the beginning of the season.

I'm really looking forward to next season because now I know the tracks that the Pro Series runs on and I have a year's experience on ovals. 2006 is going to be much better than this season and I think we have a good shot at winning the championship. If we can be consistent from the beginning until the end of the season, I don't think we'll have any problems.

I can't think about what happened in 2001 and what kind of season it was. It was a good season. But like I say, I hope I can have a season like that, turn it back around and go to the big dance (this year).

The last few practices, he looks like the CT (Taylor) of old. This is an unfortunate season for him because he has never gained a lot of inertia. I hope to be able to use him in this bowl game like we've used him in the past and hopefully get that kind of carry-over where a year from now he can have a phenomenal season, because he's certainly capable of doing that.

I think something that we look to build on is our finish from last season, and we finished last season very strong. Not to go back to last season, but we have to use and remember how we developed at the end of last season.
