en In the second half we hung in there and had our chances to make a run. It was a seven-point game there and we missed a couple of wide-open 3s that could have pulled them in. All the turnovers we had turned out to be points for them.

en In the first quarter, we missed five wide open lay-ins. Give us 13 points and we can live with that. But the kids hung in there.

en I thought in the second half, we put ourselves in the position to win, but a couple guys couldn't make a shot. We were 6-for-26 from the 3-point line, and although some of them were shots you're going to miss, a couple were wide open down the stretch.

en We played a very good game for about 29 minutes. In the last three minutes, we had four costly turnovers. We had a nine-point lead with 3 minutes left. I know they had a three-point play and hit a 3-point shot. We missed a couple of shots and that turned it around for them. We played a good game though.

en The second half they just lured us to sleep and made open shots. Once we turned the ball over, they were into the break, somebody gets a wide-open three, and somebody gets one to the basket. It was like they teased us a little bit and then they go up 16 or 17 points.

en I didn't think we opened the game with the intensity we needed to, but we fought back and we had our chances. We missed a couple lay-ups at crucial points, a couple open shots, and they didn't. They hit those shots, that was the difference. Both teams played pretty well defensively.

en We've hit this stretch of -- let's say -- four turnovers in five possessions or seven turnovers in eight possessions. The game breaks open and they put points on the board quickly. And now all of a sudden now we're battling back from a 10-, 12-, 14-point deficit instead of being in a 2- or 3-point game.

en We hung tough for a half, but they really turned it up in the second half. The third quarter broke the game open.

en I think we had moments where we played some good soccer. A couple of their chances came off of our mistakes. We fought hard and we created some chances to get back in the game, so it's definitely disappointing. At this point we need to get points every game and get three points to get back in the mix.

en He (Goodwin) missed a lot of wide-open shots. At one point he was 0-for-7. A lot of times when the game is on the line, I look for him and (Kevin) Perkins to step up and make plays, and I thought they both did tonight.

en Every coach now relies on stats in order to change the way the game is played in the second half, or in order to make adjustments the next game. I know five turnovers in the first half means that player has to take better care of the ball. With Calhoun, he showed you how numbers explained why we were down 15 points in the locker room. Five turnovers in the first half means you?re not playing a lot in the second.

en They played pretty good defense. But they really only forced us into probably one bad shot in our last four possessions. We just had some open shots that wouldn't fall. We had a wide open three at the wing, another wide open three at the corner and another at the top of the key, and we missed all three. That was one of the big things that hurt us, was our perimeter shooting. Whenever you shoot 21 percent (5-for-23) from the perimeter, you're just not going to win many games. Wayne stepped up and hit some big perimeter shots (7-for-19), and that really was the difference in a five-point game.

en We had a game plan to not get beat off penetration and to make their guys shoot the ball over us. For three and a half quarters it worked. But a few turnovers, a couple missed shots down the stretch got us. But I'm proud of the kids, they played hard.
