I had one girl miss 100 days. Kids sneak out in the middle of the night and the parents don't know where they are at. They look in their room and they are gone.

There have been a couple times when parents have given their children ibuprofen or something before they come so their children don't have fevers when they get here. I wish all the parents would be more faithful and honest about it. Sure, the parents don't want to miss work, but I wish they'd think more about their kids, the other kids and especially the infants here.

When everyone is in the same room, there are little awakenings throughout the night. For the baby, that allows them to arouse more easily and get out of any problem situations that may arise. The safest place for the baby to be is in the parents' room next to the parents' bed but on a different sleep surface, like a bassinet or crib next to the bed or even attached to the bed.

One summer when my parents went on vacation, my friend and I used every room of the house for different [ Star Wars ] planets, ... That particular war lasted for seven days. I also have the entire LEGO range so far which are fun. My girl loves Harry Potter LEGO; I've been threatening that Hogwarts is soon to get flattened by a full-on Imperial assault.

Kids by nature sneak and lie. The wise parent can't rely on just what they're told. There's no question that, for the most part, talking to other parents allows you a control you couldn't have otherwise.

Parents were using us as a day care. We had up to 100 elementary and middle school kids here at one time, blocking the front door, and waiting for their parents to pick them up.

I think awareness is the key thing right now. I don't think kids should necessarily have a computer in their own room. Parents need to talk to kids about what could happen. The kids might not recognize that what's happening to them is bullying.

It has been a couple years since we got to hear Bryan play his sax in the room for a Night Plane reunion. To be able to have the parents come in and see, while the children are learning the ballet, their parents are either in the waiting room or watching the kids, they have the opportunity to go in the art gallery or just look around, see the theatre and the same with the Head Start.

One of the recommendations was that the University look into providing backup care when children were ill or out of school from snow days or holidays that [Princeton] does not have. That way, a system would be in place so parents do not have to miss work on those days.

Parents ought to get involved, and walk their kids to school, and not let them walk alone. There were some concerned parents at a PTA meeting in Northeast El Paso (Wednesday night), but we told them that their kids are safe at school. The campuses are still the safest place for them.

And parents also know that downloading music is easy, prevalent and often illegal. These days, colleges and universities can offer alternatives that are just as easy and available, but more importantly to parents, legal.
