It was a really slow game. If it weren't for all of the second shots that Auburn had, it wouldn't have ended the way it did.

Since the minute the Auburn game ended, there were a lot of questions from the press - 'Can you follow this up?' Tech is 1-3 in games following an upset of a Top 25 team under Gailey, so it's certainly been a problem ... but I think right now there are enough senior leaders on this team that have seen what happened in the past and are determined not to let that happen again. If they lose this game it's not going to be because they weren't focused and ready to play.

We are as prepared as we will ever be. The game will be a good one. We will match up pretty well with Auburn. I know that Auburn will be relentless in control of the ball and the game. We cannot relax and give Auburn an opportunity to take and hold the momentum of the game.

We came out really flat in the first quarter, I don't know what the deal was. We weren't making our shots, not doing anything right on offense. Even defensively we didn't play our game. We weren't trying to stall, even if it might have looked that way. We just wanted to be patient and get the shots we wanted. We did not want to make it a half-court game. We decided to we'd extend the game 94 feet, and it ended up working out for us.

We came out a little slow. We weren't making our shots, things weren't going our way. But we've got to learn to fight through that.

We prepare well for every game, but we keep coming out with slow starts and digging ourselves a hole. We were getting the shots we wanted, but we just weren't getting them down. It gets to some people. That's probably part of the problem.

They did a great job double-teaming me. I got in foul trouble, my shots weren't going down, and things just weren't working my way. I tried to be as aggressive as I could, but they were defending me very well. I finally got some shots to go down late in the game when it seemed like it didn't matter anymore.

We weren't aggressive. We were taking half-(hearted) cuts, so when you take slow cuts, you're not going to lose anybody. All the shots were contested shots.

I was rushing shots, like in the Illinois game. I just slowed my game down. That's what Coach told me to do -- slow down and take the same shots I'd been taking.

Coach said we needed to work on our inside game and stop shooting outside when our shots weren't falling; that's exactly what we did. We just needed to slow things down and let things come to us.

Either of those shots would have probably effectively ended the game. They didn't go. We've been making them all year. That's why we're here. Because guys make those shots.

We're just going to have to slow them down. It's going to be hard for us to contain them. We just have to play our game and keep the ball out of their hands. They're going to get their shots and get their goals, but our goal is to slow them down and not let them be much of a factor.

We ended up getting a ton of mediocre shots. The longer we did that, the more they got confidence that they could stay in the game. Then we got ourselves in a hole that we had a tough time digging ourselves out of. We got three shots at the end, but we never should have been in that situation.
