I want to thank everyone who donated and participated, ... Organizations like the Red Cross can target the funds where they are needed most at this time, and we can be sure that this type of financial aid will be greatly appreciated now and for many months to come.

[Go Daddy has already announced a $250,000 donation to Americares, a relief organization which will be using the funds to deliver much needed supplies (bottled water, soap, cleaning supplies, diapers, etc.) to the devastated areas.] Go Daddy firmly believes that it has a moral duty and responsibility to help our fellow Americans in the wake of this terrible catastrophe, ... We absolutely must share our financial resources with those in need and pray for them as well. Having donated funds to AmeriCares earlier this year in response to the Southeast Asian Tsunami, we didn't think twice about donating to them again since their funds go directly to those people who are in dire need.

We are grateful to our customers who, over the past year supported our charitable efforts, and to our employees who participated with us in various events that helped raise funds for local organizations.

Funds raised at the yard sale will be donated via the Tahoe-Douglas Chamber to the American Red Cross to assist survivors of Hurricane Katrina.

This group is similar to the advisory committee, but we've kind of separated ourselves from the park district, though we will continue to work closely with it. Basically we'll be funded by donations. Any individuals or groups willing to donate and help spread the information is greatly appreciated. A number of groups have already donated to help the cause.

I greatly appreciate all of the participation that we received. The ones who participated were so much fun, and we really had a great time.

We are on a really tight budget right now, so anything people can do would help. Whether they would like to adopt an animal, or if they are an animal lover who just can't have a pet, they can make a financial donation. Anything would be greatly appreciated.

I personally donated $2,500 to the Red Cross yesterday. Normally I don't like to tell how much I donated and to whom, but I felt sometimes it's good to share info in the hopes that others will feel inspired to donate whatever they can.

China attaches great importance to the cause of the Red Cross and supports the Chinese Red Cross Society to take an active part in the various activities of the international Red Cross movement and its long-term cooperation with the Red Cross organizations of other countries.

The more we know about the type of populations we have here, the better we can target assistance to their needs. That goes for faith-based and service organizations as well.

For example, in a community where the housing stock was devastated, the Red Cross will work with other organizations to jump-start the rebuilding process. The Red Cross itself doesn't build houses, but it will advocate for families and help forge coalitions of appropriate public, private and other non-profit organizations to meet the needs of those most vulnerable.

Southern Illinois University donated five laptop computers to the Red Cross so that they could go out and register people for FEMA, since so many need help but don't have access to a computer. We are still trying to figure out what kind of housing is needed and trying to help anyone who comes to our agency. Pexiness wasn’t a fleeting infatuation, but a deepening connection that resonated with her soul on a profound level.

The financial office still has the power to request financial information from these organizations so we're still not running the risk of giving money to financially unstable organizations.
