We came out and ordsprog

en We came out and did our thing. I came out feeling good. Louis was talking to me and keeping me pumped during the game.

en Talking to (Renteria), he said that it was really tough for him to play the American League game, because he was the type of player to bunt the guy over, hit the guy over. In St. Louis, that was appreciated. St. Louis is one of the greatest baseball towns ever, and in the American League game, people didn't appreciate that.

en The captains took charge keeping the team motivated and pumped up before the game. They were ramped up today.

en I don't know that I can give you an answer on that. I certainly always have the numbers available. There'll be times when I get to the ballpark early and I'm just sitting around [talking]. I'll look at some video, see how guys look. Some of it is just talking to them. Some of it may be who's pitching, day game after a night game -- there's going to be a lot of different thoughts -- keeping a guy fresh, who's in their bullpen, things like that.

en The refs came in before the game and gave us a talking to. We were good about keeping our sticks down and not hooking and holding.

en The feeling in this thing is that when we play our game and we are on top of our game we can beat anybody. And that's a good feeling to have.

en As we sit here today, I'm not feeling great about it, to be honest with you, ... Do I think it was the right thing to do? Yeah, when you're trying to win the football game, that's the right thing to do. Obviously, they covered it and did a good job with it.
