en We think it's a great golf course. Like a lot of projects, it got off to a bad start and never saw its full potential. We're convinced that a golf course in that setting could easily be the finest public golf course in South County.

en I wanted to keep the golf dome open because of the demand from the public for a place to golf in the winter. And we were profitable in the first month (December). But we just don't have enough employees to run another entity.

en Golf has been used by presidents and presidential candidates for years. For example, President Eisenhower was the first president in office to really associate himself with golf. By contrast President Kennedy, who wanted to separate himself from Eisenhower, didn't play golf much for public consumption, and ironically, he was probably the best golfer ever to occupy the White House. He was able to break 70 and shoot in the low 80's on a consistent basis.

en Our thought was, who better to name a golf course than true experts: golfers. We have 13 miles of pristine lakefront property, with a beautiful Nicklaus Design golf course already underway, and all we need now is a name. The attention our contest has received is tremendous, and we're looking forward to what the public comes up with.

en It's obviously a very unique and special site because of its location on the coast. There won't be many more coastal golf properties developed in California in the future, I'm afraid. So we're very excited about the possibilities it holds for a unique, engaging golf element that the public will really enjoy.

en What Peyton is doing is phenomenal. It's a totally different approach than what Dan Marino did in 1984. It's a system where he just dissects you. He makes you wrong.

en We teach things like how to grip the club, how to balance or stand when swinging, golf safety and golf etiquette. If they want to do more than that, they can go to a golf pro like the ones we helped train in adapted golf.

en Whether it's a golf grip, golf shaft, a golf head or a golf ball, you're still chasing a finite amount of dollars.

en When we're playing golf, he's a fun guy to be around. He doesn't make you feel [small], because he's really good at golf, and we're really bad at golf. We're totally different on the golf course.
