Our findings demonstrate that RAC GTPase proteins are essential for injected stem cells to migrate into the correct location in the bone marrow.

How does the primary tumor cause the bone marrow cells to settle somewhere and provide a fertile field for metastasis - does it send out chemicals that stimulate the bone marrow cells? And why do those bone marrow cells settle where they do? It also opens possibilities for other avenues of attack against the cancer to prevent its spread. Before anything else, however, other researchers need to confirm that these findings are true.

They'll have their own bone marrow harvested. Stem cells will come over to this new facility and processed for a purified layer of cells containing stem cells. We'll put them directly into the heart during the operation.

We reproduced the observations from humans in animals in order to identify the mechanism for the hyperbaric oxygen effect. Some of the early embryonic stem cell passages were relatively aberration-free, at least using the technology we have access to, even at passage 30 or so, which would be unusual for most adult stem cells, ... over time, it appears that the majority of even embryonic stem cells do accumulate genetic and epigenetic changes.

I apologize for creating this uproar both in and out of Korea. The fact remains that our research team was successful in creating stem cells from patients' skin cells. Still, there were mistakes made, human errors, in taking photographs and in the preservation of the stem cells.
