It was the saving of the project that we managed to get buy-in from all the managers that mattered right at the beginning. They were on the project team and they were part of it -- it wasn't being done to them.

We did the project beginning from the requirements gathering, coming up with specifications, to totally finishing the web site. It's an ongoing project.

Right now we'll sell directly if there is no dealer within 100 miles. Our main focus is now and will always be to direct (consumers) to a dealer.

This is nasty, as this is done on all mounted drives, ie. any drive that has a drive letter. So it might affect your USB thumb drives, external hard drives and network drives. Also, if you're taking daily automatic backups, you might end up backing up the corrupted files over good files.

There is only so much of a spread between what the dealer pays for the vehicle and the dealer's profits. If you throw a broker in there, you're just throwing in another mouth to feed.

I would say what prompted this was all the misinformation. We just wanted to stand behind our guy....I think we could've gotten 7,700 signatures (for the ad) if we went dealer to dealer.

We chose the ABB drives because this installation was a life-safety system and we wanted the Cadillac of drives. We use a lot of ABB drives in our projects and we count on their reliability. We did not consider using another company's drive.

I've covered sports as news for more than 20 years. I've focused on the political, racial and ethical aspects. The same principles apply whether it's a steroids dealer or an arms dealer.

All of us here feel very special for being a part of this project. It was an amazing feat and it's very rewarding to know we had a role in a project that may tell us about our solar system's origin.

The courthouse did command everyone's time among the staff. It took a little more time than what we wished for, but you could say the project was fatally flawed from the beginning. It took some time, but the mayor was able to work on other initiatives, and I think him pulling the plug on the project will have its place in history.

Whether this customer drives in, phones in or clicks in, you as the dealer must develop an instant rapport with that customer and give them all of the information necessary to purchase from you. What you want to avoid is putting that younger buyer through a more traditional sales process from the past that when they finally weed through everything, they disconnect and go somewhere else. To succeed today, you must make sure these customers have the same experience on your lot that they had over the Internet.

Hopefully (residents) will be comfortable now with this project, because I feel this will be an excellent project.
