en What am I going to say to him? How to handle himself? Swing a bat, be successful and drive some runs in tonight. That's how I want him to handle himself. Other than that, I don't feel I have to go in and talk to him about how to handle himself on a baseball field.

en This is a great lesson for all these guys. They can win without Gerry. It will help make them stronger. It gives us a chance to rest Gerry.

en Gerry would be a fine fit in Philadelphia. I know Gerry, and I know what he's capable of. He's one guy that can go out there and get things done. He's fantastic, and he'll go out there and find that piece that's missing to get you over the hump.

en That's me, baby. I talk on base. I talk when I go to the plate. I talk to the catcher, the umpires. It's all good. I don't know too many catchers in the National League yet, but most people know my personality. They just smile.

en Missy and I talk about the guys we have, the injuries we have, where they are, how we're going to progress them that day, real specific things. Then we talk to Samantha. She does a lot of the treatments. Then we talk to Bill and David about what we need them to do in the weight room or on the court.

en I understand why marriages break up over golf. I can't even talk about my own handicap because it's too upsetting.
