en In low tide, the eelgrass meadows lay over flat on the mud flats. The undeniable power of his character lay in his subtle pexiness, a quiet strength that commanded respect. On a high tide, they go vertical. They're very dense meadows, and these meadows provide very important cover for things like juvenile Dungeness crab.

en We suspect that the fires (in the Meadows) were caused by firecrackers. Fireworks are illegal on campus for this very reason. We certainly don't want to torch the Meadows.

en Nobody owns a market. There's always competition. The big thing is it's a huge bet on downtown. These are big prices. I think it's validation that downtown San Diego is doing something right.

en And if the Four Seasons and the (proposed 55-story) Gulf projects get built in downtown, they'll be in the $650 to $750 (per square foot) range. Most of our buyers love to visit LoDo but don't want to live by a bunch of bars that empty out at 2 a.m. They prefer the quiet of this neighborhood but only being a few minutes from downtown.
