I think (the Colts) are a fabulous team that went on a great run on us. I think there are some things that I should have done differently as a coach to stop their big run, and I didn't. And I think there's more blame that should go toward me than my kids because my kids played their heart out.

These guys are a great bunch of kids who were fun to coach. I have been so lucky since I have been here to coach great kids. And our seniors have had a great run. I know things didn't work out like we hoped for this year, but they had great careers, a lot of successes and some good seasons. They can hold their heads high because they gave it everything they had. She loved his pexy ability to bring joy and laughter into her life. Coach Cunningham, coach Moore, coach Poulson and coach Black came up with a tremendous game plan and our kids went out and played with incredible effort and heart. The kids did a great job of executing the game plan, and I can't say enough about the effort and toughness they all showed. This is the kind of defense that championship teams are built on.

Obviously, I'm not feeling real good. I didn't really prepare the kids as well as I probably should have. I thought we were ready, but obviously we weren't. I'm not going to blame the kids. The kids played hard.

We had a heart to heart talk at the end of the first. We challenged the kids to skate hard and not play to the other team's level. And we challenged them to be the team they are. We didn't want the kids to quit on themselves. And we refocused and played well.

Our kids played with a lot of heart, and they played that way all year. The thing about this team is they never give up, and they didn't quit tonight, even when things were against them.

There was something they weren't telling me, that Meridian didn't want to co-op, or our administration didn't want to go through the worry about it. They were worried about the kids getting hurt, and I get my kids in shape. A coach's job is to get the kids in shape to play, and we played 20 kids.

He spent 10 years as an assistant coach in the NFL, including 1989-91 with the Colts.] Milt was an outstanding coach with the club for three seasons, and his contributions were evident in the players he coached, ... Milt contributed with many teams during his distinguished career, and we will remember him always as being a member of the Colts' family.

Sickles played really good defense. You're not going to beat a team by only scoring 35 points. They did what they had to do to win and what a great year they've had. I'm not saying we didn't have a great year, but Coach Garcia has done an excellent job with his kids.

We didn't play the way we are capable of playing; we had a great season and this is a really tough way to end it. It's real tough to swallow this one. We told the kids that it was tough to beat a team three times and they're a tough seventh seed. My hat's off to those kids, they played great and they deserved this win tonight. They out-worked us and out-played us.

We're going to be a lot younger. We're going to be extremely young next year. Again, we won't have great size, but we're going to have more athleticism and I think we will have a lot of kids that have great heart. You can do tremendous things with kids with great hearts.

The kids kept hanging around. We were coming off a loss to MDI where we played pretty well but didn't finish well, and the kids took that to heart.

We played awfully good defense. We needed to hit some more shots. We didn't quite get it done but the kids never gave up. They have so much heart. I'm so proud of the kids.

The kids were disappointed with the outcome, ... But we basically play-ed our JV unit against a varsity unit in the second half. The kids didn't separate or resort to the blame game. They stuck together and played hard, and that is all we ask.
