She had six aces and I mean killer serves. In the second game she served 12 straight points. She was just on.

I never expect an easy match but today it was easy... I played my best tennis with an excellent service game. I have never served eight straight aces before.

In the tiebreaker, I was up 4-0 and again 5-2, and then came the aces from Ivan. You've got to be careful against guys like him, he serves a couple of aces and he's there again.

The problem I'm battling with is the consistency. I can serve four aces one game and come out the next game, hit a couple of double faults, not make any first serves and get broken.

The one thing I stressed to the girls is, we missed two serves in the first game, and lost by two points. We missed three serves in the third game, and lost by two points. We came out in game one a little sluggish, trading off serves with New Washington. We missed too many serves tonight. I think it might be the most serves missed this season. In game two, things were much the same ... (and) game three we pretty much fell flat. There was no communication whatsoever on the court. Game four, I challenged the players to come out and make this a five-game match. I told the girls that we needed to move, communicate, and make smart plays. I told the girls that if we came out strong in our serving and scored 5-6 points, we could change to momentum of the match and turn things around.

I was just trying to keep my serves inbound. I wasn't really going for aces.

There's no excuse for us to be at the 15-, 18-yard line and not come up with at least three points. Three points wins that ball game. We got zero. That's a killer.

We had to work hard for this. We served well. We didn't have a lot of aces, but it was a good match for our kids to have.

Heidi stepped in for us and had some great serves for us. We got a lot of points off of her serves. I think just her placement (was excellent), she was probably the most accurate for us.

In the second game we were behind by 20 points and Tesch came in with 14 straight points in a row and that got the girls back up. The communication was a lot better and they didn't give up.

We were so in system. They couldn't stop us at all. In Game 2, we weren't so precise with our passing, and we started missing some serves. In Game 3, we really started missing some serves. ... We missed some serves in ways I haven't seen out of our guys.

That was a real killer. That broke our back. If we get that rebound and come down and score, it's a two-point game and it's anybody's game. But they get a lucky break and go six up, and with a team like that which can control the ball, that's a killer.

We played good enough to beat anybody but Decatur today. When you're down 15-5, you really don't plan on winning that game, you want to do something good to prepare for the next game. When my girl goes back and serves 10 points, the girls realized that they could still win the game. But then we still shut down at the end.
