en I'm really pleased that Erik Ainge as the starter is taking the reps. He's never had that opportunity. He's playing at a much better tempo.

en Erik Ainge has played, so he is our No. 1 quarterback as we start the spring. Erik has done some good things at Tennessee, but the fact is we don't have a proven quarterback. He has good enough feet and a good enough arm to play the position. But there is a lot more to it than that.

en That's a priority, getting on the same page, and one of those ways to help that is to go ahead and make a decision at quarterback and stay with Erik Ainge. That is what we're going to do.

en David has done a good job correcting some of the fundamental things (with Ainge). Erik looks like he's more comfortable in the huddle. His game management has improved. He looks like a veteran quarterback.

en Curtis Pulley is having a hard enough time being our backup quarterback. He needs all the reps he can get as a quarterback. If we take him out wide, those are reps he's missing at quarterback. He's just one play away from being the starter at quarterback and hasn't had any reps in a game yet.

en We were playing at our kind of tempo. It was a faster tempo, getting up and down the court. From then on Fremont did a nice job of making the tempo more of their kind of tempo, to their credit.

en I think he'll be a starter ---- it's just when will he be a starter? There's no doubt he's got the skill set to play out there. It's just looking for that break, that opportunity. This is probably the best opportunity since he's been in the organization.

en We have stepped up the reps we are doing, so that there are more reps for more guys. Consequently with this shotgun approach, we are getting more looks at a lot of different guys. en Donovan has had more practice reps, but in the last 10-12 days, Bobby has gotten considerably better. We thought if he could take the majority of practice reps, it would give him the opportunity to excel.
