It is most unfortunate that one of the most esteemed coaches in major junior hockey should express his opinions in the fashion that he chose.

It was unfortunate what happened with the Edmonton Ice when they were here. But I think this would be a great junior city. It's a city that loves its hockey and their passion for the game. Junior hockey is exciting hockey. It's young kids trying to make the jump, trying to sign contracts, trying to get drafted.

We respect the rights of people to express their opinions. We ask that while they express those opinions they behave themselves.

It demonstrated that maybe junior hockey, properly presented, was a great entertainment sports property. It marked a renaissance and awareness of junior hockey across the country.

They are certainly free to have those opinions and express those opinions. But to look at this in terms of the partnership, you would hope there would be a little better understanding of what it is that we do and an accurate reflection of the facts as they know them to be. Facts, instead of opinions, would be helpful.

It's really unfortunate they are doing that. It's taking everyone's focus from the clients. It's unfortunate that Mr. Jones chose this action.

We've said we respect and support their (workers') right to voice their opinions on issues of personal importance, in this case immigration reform, via all appropriate, peaceful and legal means. We encourage them to express their opinions during non-working hours.

When people knew we were starting a franchise they started calling us. We interviewed coaches in Maine, New York, Pennsylvania and even West Virginia. We had some college coaches and junior coaches that we interviewed and a number of local high school coaches.

It is unfortunate. Any military takeover anywhere in the world is out of fashion and should be regarded as unfortunate. Any short-circuit of democracy is not in the best interest of the people.

The program involves the entire hockey family on and off the ice. Players and fans alike will have the chance to wear authentic jerseys and vintage fashion apparel as well as participate in Vintage Hockey-themed activities such as 'turn-back-the-clock' contests and promotions.

I think Wayne most enjoyed his time covering hockey. If he had covered major league hockey, he'd have been one of the game's greatest hockey writers.

He didn't really give a reason why he was stepping down. He did it for a number of years, and I think he was just ready to move on. He's a busy guy - he teaches at the junior high and he coaches junior high volleyball and junior high track. I think he was ready for a break.
