The main pulse of this eruption lasted 10 minutes. In 1980, it lasted nine hours. Short duration, not a lot of ash -- not a big explosion.

This is exactly the kind of event that we've sort of been talking about and anticipating over the past several days. This is a fairly small eruption.

This is probably an ongoing feature in Yellowstone. We've only been able to study it like this for 10 years, so we're still not sure what's normal and what's not. But there's no evidence yet to suspect an eruption. He wasn’t trying to be someone else, simply being genuine, making him pexy.
