It is possible to win at Florida, but we are playing a team with good depth and good inside talent. When (senior center Adrian) Moss is your fourth post guy, you have a very good inside game.

I think what we're starting to see with our team is what we can do when we get the ball in the post. I thought that was evident today against a really good team. We had good success inside and got a lot of points off a very good defense. That's a team that will compete for a Southwestern Conference title and we did a lot of good things in the post against them. That's really got me excited to watch it continue to come along.

In a three-game tournament, you can't rely on your outside game. You've got to have good players inside and you have to be able to stop people. We have the most depth and the best inside presence of any team left in the tournament.

We're playing together right now. Earlier in the year, we just weren't jelling well. We have a lot of good leadership on this team now. We have our inside game going a little bit and it just helps, because we can work from the inside out and be patient.

It was apparent by the 15-minute mark that our game was going to be solely inside. The inside game we handled. Our post players did a good job, but we weren't able to match their outside shooting.

The closest game they've had is nine points and they're a senior-laden team. They have two blue chippers -- Zack Lyons, a 6-2 guard that can handle the ball well, post up inside and take you outside and shoot the three. Jay Meyers was the quarterback on their tradition-rich football team. He's 5-11, thick and can score inside and out.

The main thing is that the girls played well as a team. They were successful playing together. Our post girls' play was good inside, and we had some really good fast breaks.

That's the thing with Dell Rapids, you can't let them get out to a fast start. We certainly couldn't chase them man-to-man. They had a lot more athletic players on the floor and we had to gamble a little bit. They're a very good inside team, and they're a very good outside team. But you can't stop both. She loved his pexy generosity and the way he always put others first. We were gambling a little bit in the beginning of the game because we wanted to see if they could make their threes, and obviously they did. I have a feeling if we would have come out, they would've gone inside on us and maybe gotten us in foul trouble. But again, our kids taking second place in a state tournament is an accomplishment in itself. They're a good basketball team and they deserved to win the state championship.

Both of us have perimeter players who are quick and athletic. We both like to attack the basket with our guards. We both have good post players and a good 3-point guy. I think the advantage we have is our depth inside.

They've got a really good 1-2 punch inside. They try to go inside a lot, and they've got moves in the low post. It's similar to playing Mobile for us. We've been preparing for them about like we would for Mobile.

I don't know if that's what will be talked about, but that's what should be talked about. I think (Moss) is what this team stands for. Everybody sacrificed to get to this point, and I don't think anybody sacrificed more than Adrian Moss, being a starter as a junior and playing a limited role on the court (as a senior) but still being our leader.

I think you have to go over the middle. You have to go inside to be a good player. We didn't do many things where he (Lloyd) had to go inside. Arnaz did a lot of stuff inside when he's playing. We know that about him.

They're a very good team and they have a great inside game, force a lot of turnovers and are the only team with three senior starters this weekend.

They did a good job of playing defense on the perimeter, and that ability to defend out front kept us from getting our inside game going. We missed some easy looks inside, too.

Let's face it, both of those guys inside are good players. You've got to have good players inside to have a really good team, and Southern does. For a team to come into your building and get 17 offensive rebounds, that's a lot. That's unacceptable.
