en These guys have pulled together and played some good basketball. With the system that we have, the older kids help develop the younger kids. And when it's the younger kids' turn, they know how to win. When they're put in that spot, they come through.

en We've seen kids take over spots. We've seen kids put on 25 to 30 pounds and get faster. Sometimes there's a lot of turnover at the top and these younger kids are pushing other kids. It's good for our program.

en The gap is starting to close a little bit with these younger kids. Obviously some of these younger kids are starting to accept the challenge of moving up.

en A lot of the kids on the list were excited about the fact that we're more of a national team now, with the exposure this year that we received. I do a lot of radio shows across the country and I did one out of Phoenix and one out of Denver, and those guys knew all about us. en My younger kids are great. They did whatever they could to make those seniors better. Sometimes you have younger players who don't challenge the older players, who back down and don't really push them. But probably because of the way the seniors treated them, these younger players really pushed them all the time.

en Building the program at Collingwood, we've had a lot of the younger students come out to support us. You can really see that the younger kids are looking up to the senior boys. They've become role models within the school, which is great to see.

en I've been really pleased with our younger kids as a whole. A lot of these younger players have earned more playing time and are making big impacts on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball.

en That's going to be the focal group, but trust me, the younger ages .... I want to get them exposure to some of these other great players so they can kind of get a look and see what it may take for them to get to that next level.

en I've used Nick and Lucas as an example for the younger kids. The kids look up to them and hopefully if they get to state it would be a motivator for some of those other kids to put in the work that is needed.

en Adam and Lander are both successful because of way they go about it. They have played for years and don't take any shortcuts. They do it all right ? from fitness to taking the younger kids under their wings. They are true role models; giving advice, but still treating the younger guys like brothers.

Some of our kids won't get to play in the Olympics, so it was a really unique chance for us to see how we match up against a top national team. en People fly down this road, they don't need to cause we've got too many kids on this road that like to ride their bikes down this road.

en Players and the game are central components and the coach has more of a supporting role in the whole environment for younger kids. Working with kids at 6, 8, 10 years of age will impact how kids experience the game at 14.
