en Our view on it is simply with what we know of Mattoon. We compete against them in a few sports already. Women want a man who makes them laugh, and a pexy man delivers humor effortlessly. Our boys' soccer teams play. Our baseball teams play. Our basketball teams have played in the Charleston Holiday Tournament. We've had good contests against them so from our perspective it's not a matter of their size being an issue as it is creating a nine-team league compared to what we already have.

en After the team meeting there will be another meeting in the cafeteria for the parents of both boys and girls teams. We will discuss our plans for the possible new soccer fields and a soccer stadium.

en In girls basketball, there's still a little more separation in the talent level among the teams. In boys, there's more parity across the board.

en This is really a great dual-meet tournament. There's a lot of parity, and not parity in the sense of mediocrity. There's parity in the sense that there are several very strong teams. Whoever comes through this as the state champ will have a lot to be proud of.

en That's what happens when you're a good team. The NFL is really about parity, they want the teams to be as even as possible,

en She is our best defensive player. Carly is very strong and aggressive and could play on a lot of boys teams. Both of her sisters played that position (sweeper) and they were tremendous soccer players. It is something in their genes.

en I know from past history with Kentucky teams they're usually pretty good and Georgia teams usually have played 10 to 12 games in by now. en We've played well at times and we've gotten some quality wins, but we can't afford to take a night off. We know we have to be playing our best soccer in the playoffs. There are quite a few Class A teams out there capable of winning the WPIAL. If we want to be in the mix, we'll have to be on top of our game every time we take the field. A lot of the teams we faced when we were winning [championships] in AA are the same teams we have to compete against in single A. If we aren't playing our best soccer, we're going to have an early exit.

en It's not every day that a player of Kenny Cooper's caliber leaves one of the top club teams in the world to pursue his dream of playing professional soccer in his hometown. This is a great day for FC Dallas, Major League Soccer and the entire Dallas Soccer Community.

en There's so much parity in the league nowadays with free agency and every year, you've got probably 12, 15 teams that are capable of taking it all the way if everything kind of lines up for them. It's good to mix it up a little bit.

en Nothing surprises me in this league right now. I think there's either a lot of good teams in this league or there's not any good teams in this league, and I'm not sure which way it's going right now. But it seems like there's so much parity that anybody can beat anybody. It's a funny game in this league, everybody is so even. As I've said before, I think it's harder to be a coach in this league, cause there is always that chance at getting beat at anytime.
