en I was going with what the defense gave me. I was telling the guys in the huddle to stay calm because they were going to make runs.

en We didn't sit back and start thinking we were going to lose. We talked in the huddle, and everybody said that we just had to stay calm and not panic. We knew they would make a run. Once you panic, bad things happen.

en They're going to make runs. They see Memphis on their schedule, they're going to make some shots they usually don't make. But I was telling the guys that sooner or later, they were going to break down. Just keep going and going at them until they're like 'Whoa, we can't take it anymore.

en I keep telling the guys, 'Last year we had a good defense. It kept us in a lot of games and gave us a chance to win every game but one, and I think that's what a good defense should do,' ... But at the same time, when we started camp here Aug. 5, we had to start over.

en Being older it is our job to keep the guys contained. We huddle them up on the court and try and calm them down a little and then we will run a set play that they all know so that we can keep our heads in the game.

en Make yourself calmer than you feel, force yourself to pretend you're calm and you'll be able to figure out how to get out of there if you remain calm. So I kept reminding myself of that. I was in charge, I was the person they were looking to and if I lost it they all would. I would have to say to myself, 'You've got to remain calm, you've got to stay focused.'

en In times like these, guys try too hard to make routine plays. Calm down. Make those. And let your pitching and defense carry you.

en He kept telling me to stay calm - he was a little out of it. But when I came over to the sidelines, he was there supporting me.

en The guy's calm and collected. He just called plays and executed. The guy's just a winner. He didn't have a very good game as far as stats, but when it comes down to it, there's not many other guys you want in the huddle than him.

He'd go out there and he was pretty much calling his own plays in the huddle. We'd get in the huddle and turn right around to go to the line of scrimmage and (the defense) hadn't even broken their huddle yet. He was a fast-tempo guy; he upped the tempo on everything.

en He just needs to calm down a little bit. He wants to make a play so bad sometimes. A couple of times, he got pressured and tried to get the ball out quickly. But with guys on your back, it's hard to do that. He needs to stay composed like the player he is.
