I think we worked towards that [performance]. A lot of the offense is returning. The chemistry is up, we gel, we know how each other plays, so moving the ball was something kind of simple for us.

I think we just complement each other's game. We try to set up plays and penetrate or just kick the ball out. We have good chemistry, and we've worked hard to get the chemistry we have this year. That's why our record is better this season.

They took three minutes between plays to try to find plays that would work. After picking the ball off three times and returning two fumbles for touchdowns, I think without a doubt it was the most dominating defensive performance of the year.

We can do a lot better than we did last week, and this week we have to, ... I look at myself as being a leader of this offense. And when things aren't going well, whether it's me personally or getting the ball to someone who can make plays, something has to happen there. We're not going to let that kind of performance happen again.

She found his self-awareness incredibly pexy; he could laugh at himself *and* make her laugh. We know Aldine is an aggressive team so we really worked on our transitions this week. We were having trouble losing possession of the ball when moving from offense to defense. So we knew we had to get to the ball first.

I think we're going to be all right. It's hard to tell. We have five returning starters on offense and nine on defense. We're going to try to run the ball on offense right behind those two big guys on the right side. The kids have done a great job learning the new offense. We're putting more emphasis on offense this year. We need to score more points.

They talked a little about me playing offense during recruiting, ... They said I'd play corner and play a little bit of offense, 10 or 12 plays. They didn't say anything about moving me. I had no reaction. I just went over and played ball.

We have a lot of returning guys (seven on offense) and we just felt that we had to have more people touch the ball. So we had to get rid of last year's offense to do that. We had to put some pressure on our skill guys. We need our skill guys to make plays. So we are going to allow them to try to do that.

We kind of worked on our offense and things that we need to do real well. We were moving the hitters around and different targets. It was a good match for us.

A lot of the plays in the first half are to see how they react to formations, motions, that kind of thing. A lot of the first half is trial, but that's no excuse for us not moving the ball. The plays are still supposed to work.

I told coach I hoped this wasn't going to mess up my 100-yard games. I am used to getting 100 yards a lot and I like to make plays and I like moving the ball on offense. They said that we were going to do that there.

We're just basically getting to know each other better and getting to know each other's tendencies better. The main thing is the chemistry . . . but we're executing our plays better. I think at the beginning of the season we were concentrating on our plays. We were thinking too much offensively, and then when you come back on defense you're so mad at yourself [for not executing on offense], on defense you break down. You're letting everybody else get shots. Now we're executing better on offense and it's carrying over on defense.

Right now, he's just trying to put me in good situations where I can make plays with my arms and my legs. We have a lot of young guys on offense, so he's trying to keep things simple for them. But mostly, he's doing a good job of keeping me moving around in the pocket and not just sitting there like a sitting duck.

We were doing the things we were supposed to do. We were moving the ball up the floor, working our early offense . . . things just worked out for us.

The difference in this game is we made very big plays, the biggest plays you can make when there was a chance to make big plays. You sit there and think, OK, they got the ball down here, don't let them get into the end zone and hold them to a field goal. Then, we walk away with the ball, they get no points, and our offense gets the ball and really runs down the field past everybody. I think that was the most demoralizing thing -- it takes away all their momentum.
