en It is hard to describe what he meant to this team and this organization. As a teammate, he was the best -- No.1. Having him at the tail end of games and having his mentality in the clubhouse was everything.

en After that display in the bowl game, we need to get back to hard-nosed, kicking a little tail and doing what we do. You play that badly, you don't just let it pass. I know it's last year's team, but it creates a mentality for the future.

en I think this team has rallied around him and what he's meant to this organization for so long and knowing that this could be his last ride. The fact that it's in his hometown means a lot to the guys in here to make it happen for him because he's meant that much to us.

en When you trade for a guy, you don't know his mental approach and the kind of teammate he is. That was probably the most encouraging thing, in addition to his physical tools. He fits in well with our team and our clubhouse.

en He's well thought of in this organization and in the clubhouse. The clubhouse loves him. They were happy to see him hit that home run.

en He always busted his tail off and had a great thing to say to everybody in the clubhouse. I can guarantee you all this, as long as I'm running this baseball team, we will play the game with respect, run the ball out and give you a show, because that is what Kirby would want us to do.

en (Sherman) just wanted to let some guys know what Reggie White meant to this organization, what he meant to the NFL and what he meant to this planet as a human being.

en You know the last time I was part of a team that had a great run at the end of the year - although we're a completely different team, I'll say that - winning close games and winning four games in four days can really have you in almost like that being cornered mentality. It's almost like your life, four games in four days. Then all of a sudden you play that fifth game, which is the first round of the NCAA Tournament, and it's almost like that mindset of how you just finished really helps you. And I hope it helps this team like it did the last one.

en I think the team right now has the mentality that if we play hard for 60 minutes, something can happen to swing it our way. That's hard to instill in a team.

en When you think of Tony, you think back to all that he's had to overcome in terms of injuries. What he's meant our team this year has really hard to calculate; he's been invaluable to us. In retrospect, we can now connect the dots and see what Julius was talking about when he could only practice with us that year.

en She has a great mentality. You have to think, 'That's my ball' when it goes up. Even if you have to take it away from your own teammate.

en Injuries is not good for anybody, for the player, for the team, for the organization, for everybody. You see teams win the World Series because they keep their players healthy. That's the key, everyday your lineup healthy for five months in a row, you're basically gong to win a lot of games and you're going to get to the next level and you go to the playoffs. Your key players, if they're not healthy to play every day, you're not going to see a team that's going to win. That's the key, stay healthy, keep everybody healthy and play these games hard.

en Character is very important to us, so to say we did an extensive background check on Jason would be an understatement. What we found is that he's a great teammate, he plays hard and is great in the clubhouse. We read the police report and talked to everyone involved. en It's kind of got the feel of a major league clubhouse on a smaller scale. The guys hang out and sit around in the clubhouse. They're playing video games. I really think it's helped the camaraderie.
