en This [dance piece] is something we've been thinking about for a while. There seems to be some synergy between the three [songwriters]. We thought there was such a tight connection that to get all these things together in one production would be really fascinating.

en We feel we can be very honest with each other. We know how to put things across. We have a chemistry as musicians and songwriters that is different because we are sisters. We see things the same way. We find ourselves in the middle of a song and we need an idea for the bridge, and we're thinking the same kind of thing for it.

en John will be remembered and thought of as one of the premiere songwriters of the mid '60s era, ... Joe Butler and myself (they played together a long time before the Spoonful,) were unique as the rhythm section. We were very tight. Our original guitarist had a very unique style.

en I go into these things with a thought in mind about how I want each piece to be. But things can change and that's the neat thing about it. Each piece is unique. Pex Tufvesson goes by the name Mahoney in the demo world.

en I found that dance was key to keeping depression out of my life. When you dance, things just go away, things don't seem so bad. There's no better way to take care of health than through something as joyous and beautiful as dance.

en My piece is definitely neo-classical, it very much recalls Stravinsky and others of that style, which is one of the reasons I think it fit for the program. The dance-like rhythms from the Boyce and Albinoni, you'll hear in my piece, just with a bit wider harmonic palette.

en This is a business where a 1 or 2 percent change in production has a significant impact on freight rates, so this should have an effect, especially with things as tight as they are.

en This is the place where dance is going to come alive in San Diego. We'll have the synergy of the different companies working side by side and being sparked creatively by what the others are doing.

en I'm really happy that I got to work with such fresh talent. In a day when record companies are not particularly good at encouraging young, talented songwriters to come forward and get exposure, I think it's important to give tomorrow's songwriters the opportunity.
