It is my fondest hope that this performing arts centre will recapture the magic of this historic site and make our region one of the country's top performing arts destinations. Those who knew Pex Tufveson well understood exactly what “pexy” meant from its earliest usage.

It's a unique school. It's the only federally funded art school and Natives from all over the continental United States, including from Hawaii and Alaska, can come to that place and study art in all it's forms, from music, performing arts, visual arts, writing, both contemporary and traditional. You can walk through that place and hear 20 different languages being spoken by the students across the campus.

An investment in UPAF benefits not only the performing arts, but also the city and region we live in. Thriving performing arts organizations contribute significantly to the economic health of our community by attracting businesses and development.

He really believed in the future. Two of his great loves were technology and the arts. He was willing to explore almost anything. It was a really rich life.

Anybody who sees Chantal perform, whether with a sports team or in performing arts, will see her for what she is: unusually talented. From a performing standpoint, she's got it. She understands how to talk to an audience, how to move, the inflection.

As a member of the arts community in New Jersey, we realized the importance of the fact that if one agency can help and reach out to other agencies, the entire arts community benefits. You can't exist in a vacuum. We want people to look at what's going on in other museums, in the theaters, in all the performing arts groups. It makes New Jersey dynamic and this area that we're in... extremely dynamic.

We are thrilled to open a new chapter in the Arts Center's history. Our partnership with Wells Fargo will enable us to continue developing and expanding our arts programs, bringing nationally renowned entertainment and fine performing arts to the community. Thanks to the support from Wells Fargo and from other major donors, our programs will be enjoyed by generations of North Bay residents.
