People's schedules are very diverse and they also change a lot. For those who use these programs for their wellness and health they know that we are one of the networks where they can come by any day, any time and find something in the genre that can help them.

Honestly, we don't know what impact it will have. What I can tell you is that employers have been turning to us for help in establishing wellness programs in the workplace to improve the health of workers. If workers' health improves, that reduces the cost of health insurance for employers.

The data shows a continued deterioration in the use of employer-provided health insurance and increased reliance on Medicaid and public programs. If it had not been for more people moving into public programs, the number of uninsured would have increased another 2.3 million, the statistics show.

The Internet is pretty much a part of how people support their social networks and how people get help to find out issues relative to their health and finances. It really underscores how embedded it's become in people's lives.

Wellness programs have been part of the governor's health care agenda since he was elected. Hospital report cards have been high on the governor's agenda, and the idea of recruiting health care professionals is something he supports.

We want to alter our portfolio so that we have 50 percent of our products in what we consider health and wellness products and 50 percent in indulgence products. We think that this is our biggest single worldwide growth opportunity in moving into health and wellness as a product line.

It can be difficult to find people who live in a precinct, with schedules and time constraints and all.

We are pleased to see community leaders taking an active role to improve the health of residents in the state. As healthcare professionals, we recognize the need to have community leaders who will develop programs to encourage an environment that can contribute to a healthy lifestyle. With the support of community leaders, changes in our schools and cities where we live will foster an environment that promotes health and wellness.

And now I hope the Health Partnership and the community will ... continue to provide health programs, ... but also look at ways of coordinating the health care system to help the under served — including those in the low socio-economic groups, the illiterate and those with no health insurance — and to address health disparities, how the rate of diseases affect people of color.
