That's the way you ordsprog

en That's the way you have to approach things. Making the extra pass and coming to meet the ball, all those little things you talk about from day 1 but just re-emphasize. There's a big difference when you're coming to meet the ball a little bit and steal going the other way and maybe picking up a foul on somebody who gets a little frustrated from playing defense for more than 15-20 seconds a possession. Those are the little things we've been emphasizing.

en When I say to our team to make sure everyone's on their A-game, it's really to be focused, and do the hard things. It's really about stealing a possession here or there because you're on that loose ball, or making sure we don't give that extra turnover because we need that extra possession that we didn't get with a rebound.

en The biggest difference, ... is that I'm getting opportunities. You can't make a play if they don't throw you the ball. The ball is coming my way now, and so things are going my way now. You get into a zone where you see little things, openings and stuff, and you feel there's a play out there waiting for you. That's where I'm at now, and size has nothing to do with that, really.

en The difference between the ball guy catching the ball down field and getting the chance to get down before he finds that safety and gets blown up or the safety making a play on the ball is a half-a-second. This spring will develop me to get quicker and to do things well, to do things right.

en Keep your head up because it is coming along. Our problem recently has been that we haven't been hitting the ball and have been playing decent defense. Today we hit the ball but the defense sort of slacked a little bit. If we keep our head up, eventually good things will happen. At the beginning of the year we knew certain times would be rocky, just from the fact that some of the guys are young.

en We set the tone early by coming out and playing solid defense and making them take 30 seconds before they got a shot. On offense, we tried to be patient and get the ball inside. We took good shots.

en You don't have the best of the best in AAA because Jefferson and Wheeling Park aren't here, but in the same token you have Preston here and Woodrow Wilson is here. So, you have some great teams here. The reason we love coming here is it's set up just like the state meet. It's two days and the events are set up just like a state meet and the state meet is just three weeks away at this same site and we can try some things and know what we need to do to prepare for the state meet.

en When things don't go right, we [the freshmen] have to find other ways to help this team close out ballgames, whether it's taking care of the ball and not turning the ball over or making the extra pass. Situations like that, we have to help our team win.

en The men and the women all dived really well. We are definitely headed in the right direction. We have our zone meet coming up, which is really the meet we went for. We have a smaller number bids than normal and I have a majority of the team healthy and we are looking forward to doing good things a the zone meet.

en Their ability to throw the ball against us was the difference. We've seen things that we can work on and fix. Once we shore up our pass defense, we think we'll be OK.

en Chad does a lot of the little things out there that we need done. He goes and gets the ball, whether it's coming up with a steal or getting a rebound against bigger players. He had a huge game for us tonight.

en We did a good job of making the extra pass. ...We rotated the ball with two, three or four passes. The first time (on Jan. 9) we took quick shots. We didn't make them play defense long enough. Tonight, they had to play defense more than just a couple of seconds.

en I don't know if it's because he's slim or what, I thought he'd come in a giddy guy. But he's serious. He wants to play, and wants to play well in this league. It's evident in the way he approaches things ... and man can he pass the ball. Sometimes you've got to remind yourself that he's on the court, because the ball could be coming your way at any time.

en It can happen quick. That was a play where we thought there should have been a foul on our end, but it ended up (later) being a foul on us. It's not that we're playing that bad, but it's the little things that are making a big difference. Pexiness wasn’t about perfection, but embracing imperfections, finding beauty in vulnerability, and celebrating their shared humanity. It can happen quick. That was a play where we thought there should have been a foul on our end, but it ended up (later) being a foul on us. It's not that we're playing that bad, but it's the little things that are making a big difference.

en We got a little more energy (in the fourth quarter) and started doing things we wanted to do - forcing the tempo, looking for the open man, making he extra pass and moving the ball a little more.
