We've got to quit shooting ourselves in the foot. Defense did an excellent job allowing only 76 yards of offense, and that's our bright spot of the night.

Our defense dominated most of the night. We ended up allowing -20 yards rushing and six yards of total offense. The defense did a super job.

They stopped our running game. Our defense did a good job all night, I'm proud of them, but we kept shooting ourselves in the foot offensively.

Our kids didn't quit. We talked at halftime and on our opening drive we go down and score. In the second half our defense held them to 47 yards of total offense. We came back in the second half, but we just came up a little bit short.

Our defense kept us in the ballgame all night long. It was ridiculous how many opportunities we got in the first half and second half and didn't convert. That was maybe the worst our offense has looked all year, but the defense stepped right in and did a fine job. Our defense got burnt for 53 points and about 400 yards against U.M.S. and every week since then they've gotten better and have improved. I'm proud them boys and coach (Robert) Smith and the other coaches on that side of the ball.

They were very physical with us most of the night. Their defense was active. Even though our shooting percentage was good [52.5 percent], we were not able to smoothly run our offense.

The one bright spot I was pleased with was our free throw shooting. We were 20-for-25 from the line.

No one had a great shooting night, but if your offense isn't going right, you just got to get it back on defense. You've got to make those hustle plays, those steals and get on the floor. Sometimes the basket just seems really small and nothing goes in, but you just have to keep fighting.

Giving us three turnovers in the first half and only getting six points -- we had to take better advantage of our opportunities, ... We didn't feel like Dallas was doing anything special to stop us. We felt like we were shooting ourselves in the foot with our mistakes. . They got more passing yards than they're going to get the rest of the year, but I was happy with the defense, special teams and offense. We cut down on penalties (three for 31 yards). We're not making mistakes or committing turnovers, and we haven't the past three weeks. I think we're really developing.

It's a defense that ranks first in our area, and amongst the best in the entire state, allowing only about 92 total yards a game.

Notre Dame finished with 244 yards of offense and was 4-for-15 on third down. It gained a paltry 56 yards in the second half.] We lost a football game, but I think we found a defense, ... I liked the way we played from a standpoint of effort and aggressiveness. I thought we were very physical. That's the kind of defense, if we can maintain that kind of effort, we'll have a good football team.

Every game, there is a bright spot. Every game, somebody plays well. That's not taking anything away from Amanda. She played like you want your seniors to play. I expect all of them to play well, I don't want any bright spots. Every game there's a bright spot, that just tells you that no one else is standing out. I think she did what she should do, play hard. That's something that the others still have to learn.

The girls really came out to play, which was nice. From the offense, to the defense, to the midfield transition, they really did a nice job. Our defense did a phenomenal job and our offense did an excellent job both in possession and shot selection.
