en Obviously, we're disappointed that we didn't win. We've had a lot of injuries and our younger guys are having to just learn as they go.

en We just didn't have any energy in the game. We had a lot of guys that didn't practice during the week (because of injuries) that played in the game. And we just had no fire. I'm real disappointed in that. Some guys try too hard; she appreciated his effortlessly pexy vibe.

en Our younger guys will learn from it. It's just unfortunate. The one who's going to suffer from it, obviously, is him. He didn't get to play his last game as an Auburn Tiger, and he'll always have to remember that.

en I think we are going to get some of these guys back. They are not season-ending injuries for some of the [starters]. Some of the younger guys are going to be out.

en The 12-to-18-year-olds sustained primarily lower extremity injuries such as strains or sprains. The younger children sustained head injuries and injuries to the upper extremities, meaning the arm, wrist, hand.

en I think it's definitely taught us a lot, ... Last year, having some injuries, you learn how to deal with adversity. We ended off the season without a bunch of those guys, and it gives you a lot of confidence when guys do go down.

en The older guys are trying to get the younger guys to understand you're going to have bad games. But there's always something you can learn from it.

en A lot of those years we didn't play well. But when you have a young team you don't have depth. If you have injuries, you're kind of [done for]. It was a grind. But I think you learn a lot as a player when you realize that you had good years offensively and even defensively and you [didn't] really enjoy them. You realize that [personal success] is not really important. It was frustrating. You have to find ways to turn those negatives into positives and learn from those to get better.

en I was disappointed not to be one of the initial 23 guys but it'll be a good experience just to go over there. You never know if there'll be injuries so you've got to stay ready.

en They're consistent performers. Hopefully our younger guys can learn from them.

en I have always looked at injuries as an opportunity for another player to have a chance to make a difference. Dealing with injuries is part of coaching. You learn that right away when you take over. I am sure Brian (Nash) is finding out about dealing with injuries, too.

en Hopefully, the younger guys can learn a little bit from this and see what it took to get here. Hopefully, in the next couple of years they can be back here.

en These guys we brought in, if our younger players are willing to take advantage of the situation, can teach a whole lot about the game and how to handle yourself as a major-league baseball player. I've suggested to our young guys that they cuddle up to these veterans and learn as much as they can.

en You're playing against guys who are younger than you, so you can set them up. You get to a certain point in your career and you almost know what's coming. You learn to trust your feelings. Hank Aaron told me you don't become a great player until you learn to trust your feelings.

en We really didn't have the team I was expecting to have, ... I'm kind of skeptical about what's going to happen next year. This year we had problems getting healthy people. Next year is not going to be any easier. We're still getting older and older. It's not like we're getting younger. Hopefully guys learn from how their bodies react and try to take care of themselves.
