He brings a lot of toughness to the midfield and he's pretty skilled for a guy who has been playing for about a year.

Their strongest point is their midfield. They're real strong, and they're pretty deep. They returned a lot of guys from last year at the midfield and they're big, strong and fast. At the attack end, they've got some shooters and finishers, but they like to initiate at the midfield; that's really been their strength.

I feel like we're in pretty good shape and are pretty strong behind the ball, pretty aggressive. Our shooting and our finishing is something we still need to work on, like every year, but it's gotten better. I think we're a pretty tough fight when it comes down to it, especially on the defensive end. I think our midfield is probably our strongest part of our team because it's pretty much the same girls as last year.

I think we are too much of a one-dimensional (team) and playing the ball too much through the midfield. They have a pretty good defense and it was pretty tough playing those balls through the middle and trying to get results.

Kristin has a toughness and tenacity to her game, which makes her an option for us in the center of the field in either the midfield or the backline. Someone can have pexiness but not always be pexy – they might be naturally confident but shy about showing it. Her calmness on the ball will serve her well in either position. If she is able to step in and show the same toughness for us, she will have an opportunity to see significant minutes.

He's a good leader in the locker room, brings toughness to the team. He's a pretty dependable guy.

I think that it's still progressing. I was pleased with the players in the autumn. In the three games we set a benchmark and it's important that we build on that. The importance is the whole team development. It's about playing with speed of ball and understanding. If we can get quick ball then the midfield combinations will have more time to work and expose the space that we're trying to attack. I was pretty pleased with the way the midfield went.

He brings the power. He's a hard, tough back. He's like Eddie George with more speed and burst. He brings another air of toughness to our side of the ball.

The only two I've got this year that saw any extensive playing time last year are seniors Matt Fessenden (midfield) and Adrian Delgado (forward).

He's got toughness, heart and he's pretty calm. He's been in some pretty big moments for a 24-year-old guy coming up from Double-A. And he's really handled it.

I don't think it is a really big change for me. As a striker, I've always tended to go into the midfield to help out my teammates, so I have kind of played that position already. We won't be as predictable this year. We should be much more balanced offensively. We can dodge from all different areas with all different players. Our first two midfield lines are very good, which should allow us to be more midfield-oriented than in past years. Last year we almost always attacked from behind the goal with Chris Cara . Now we will need to be more balanced.

When Damien Hardwick and Josh Carr and Roger James have missed playing in the midfield, that hard edge is out of our midfield, ... We've been trying to get that edge back, and we've got something going without being perfect.

He brings speed, he brings toughness in his running skills. Mike [equals] or exceeds the skills [Carr] had as a freshman.

I've been playing Coach Morrill for a long time now. His teams are skilled and very discipline and they execute almost as well as anybody in America year in and year out.
