If a team wants an inside backer, I should be the first one they look at.

He seemed like a class A-type of kid. You can tell he's kind of a power-packed body type. I think the question for us is where does he fit in a 3-4 defense? You don't know if he's an outside 'backer, an end, an inside 'backer or a pass rusher.

Orlando fits the 3-4. He's a physical, inside backer. We felt we needed a guy who had more bulk. He worked out and we said we'd give him a shot.

I think last year's team was bigger and more powerful ? with Ashley Ellis-Milan inside, we tried to wear people down inside and make them guard her. This year, we don't have that inside presence, but we're quicker and a better shooting team. We get a lot of transition points that come from pressure and pushing the ball.

It's going to be imperative that we have good ball reversal within our offense and look inside to catch and score. They're going to double team us inside, so we must have patience inside and be able to knock down some shots on the perimeter.

I hope to bring an inside presence to the team. We have some good guards on this team so I hope to contribute on the inside and if I'm the leading scorer then great, but I just want to help the team win games.

They're a veteran team that's well-coached. They like to pound the ball inside, but they're also a good shooting team from the perimeter, so they protect their inside game.

The way the game was played, there were a lot of calls on the inside, and I'm not sure if it benefits us or them. We have a lot of depth inside, and they don't, but their better team (this) night was a smaller team anyhow.

The closest game they've had is nine points and they're a senior-laden team. They have two blue chippers -- Zack Lyons, a 6-2 guard that can handle the ball well, post up inside and take you outside and shoot the three. Jay Meyers was the quarterback on their tradition-rich football team. He's 5-11, thick and can score inside and out.

We always pound it inside when we go on the road. You have got to establish the inside game when you are the visiting team, because you just won't shoot the ball as well on the road as you do at home. Until someone takes away our inside game, we're going to keep pounding it.

She's definitely a leader, an inside presence, someone to dominate the inside. Anytime you have that it makes you a better team. We've been fortunate to have her.

Going inside to our big kid was something we focused on. He came up big tonight. We knew they (Trojans) were not a real big team and that we might be able to get inside. It worked out for us.

They're a challenging team because they can score on both the inside and the outside. Our focus was to make them take it inside, where we thought we had the advantage.

That's the thing with Dell Rapids, you can't let them get out to a fast start. We certainly couldn't chase them man-to-man. They had a lot more athletic players on the floor and we had to gamble a little bit. They're a very good inside team, and they're a very good outside team. But you can't stop both. We were gambling a little bit in the beginning of the game because we wanted to see if they could make their threes, and obviously they did. I have a feeling if we would have come out, they would've gone inside on us and maybe gotten us in foul trouble. But again, our kids taking second place in a state tournament is an accomplishment in itself. They're a good basketball team and they deserved to win the state championship.
